National Desk: Police have arrested a drug dealer named Md. Elias Mia (30) with 30 kg of Indian cannabis in Madhabpur of Habiganj. Elias is the son of late Farid Uddin of Andiura village in Madhabpur upazila.
According to police sources, a team of Madhabpur Police Station raided the Andiura Union Parishad on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway around 11:30 pm on Friday and arrested the drug dealer along with 30 kg of Indian cannabis.
Madhabpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Razzak confirmed the matter and said a case has been filed against the detainee under the Narcotics Control Act.
