The incident took place in Meherabari area of ​​the upazila. It is learned that Shihab Amin Khan, chairman of Bhaluka Union No. 6, is trying to grab the land worth around Tk. Upon receiving the news, the local forest department went to the spot and stopped the work of removing the soil.
According to locals, the chairman continued his work even after the forest department stopped the work. Not only that, the chairman is also constructing various establishments in front of Meherabari Bazar Awasti Basar with the possession of forest land.
Chairman Shihab Amin Khan’s mobile number was called more than once but he could not be reached as he did not receive the call.

Bhaluka Ranger Hazirbazar bit officer Safruzzaman said, “I went to the spot after getting the news of the occupation of the forest department land by the chairman Kartak leaving the soil at the spot number 150 of Meherabari mouza and stopped the work of filling the soil.” Akashmani trees will be planted on the land to fill the forest, he said.
